I am wondering which excersize is best for overall gains – squats or deadlifts. I know they are both great, but how do they help the the body build muscle ?
And secondly, do they help with upper body muscle, as well as lower body ?

I’m a teenager just overcoming obesity and trying to renew myself for the year. For the sports I play, I want to build muscle, yet keep myself from becoming too huge. I’m not too knowledgeable of helpful tips and workouts, but I definitely want to build muscle in my upper body and torso. My lower body is perfectly sculpted due to football. From workouts to certain types of supplements, I want to build muscle preferably before April–or Spring Break.

i know that most protien synthesis and muscle repair happens while you sleep, my question is: does your body build it during the daytime also while your awake? i mean im sure it dosent while your using the muscles, but say your watching tv in your recliner or laying in your bed at night trying to sleep but stll awake. is your body anabolic during this time? thanks to anyone who answers, may best answer get 10 pts!

I’m the tall and skinny kid in highschool. My metabolism is quite fast. I can eat as much as I want as often as I want. I’m tired of being the scrawny type. I want to gain muscle/body mass.
